Playground Games has confirmed a number of Forza Horizon 5 gameplay features that fans can expect when they get their hands on the game later this year. According to Playground Games, Forza Horizon 5 will have convertibles, drag racing, environmental variety, long highways, and more. And while players are out cruising in Forza Horizon 5, they can do so in a vehicle that’s completely their own, as the developers have confirmed that the game will have hundreds of new customization options.

As Forza Horizon 5 players explore Mexico, there will be plenty of interesting sights to see. This includes animals, which will have an active presence in the Forza Horizon 5 game. So far, Playground Games has confirmed bighorn sheep, donkeys, flamingoes, donkeys, and wild goats for Forza Horizon 5’s animals, but has teased that there will be even more for fans to see in the final game.
Besides animals, Forza Horizon 5 players will want to keep their eyes peeled for Barn Finds. In the Forza Horizon franchise, Barn Finds are hidden areas that, if found, net players fancy new cars. Hunting down all the Barn Finds is one of the main activities in the Forza Horizon games, and it seems as though Forza Horizon 5 will be no different. However, Playground Games has said that the Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5 will be “more detailed” and “location-specific” than in previous entries, so that should be interesting for franchise fans.
Playground Games has also talked more about Forza Horizon 5’s weather system. Like previous games in the series, Forza Horizon 5 will incorporate weather into the gameplay, but it’s taking things a step further. Weather in Forza Horizon 5 will be localized, meaning different parts of the map will have wildly different weather. One section of the map may be getting ravaged by a sandstorm, whereas another part of the map will have a blizzard. These storms can grow over time, though players won’t see a blizzard storm making its way to a desert-section of the map.
As previously stated, Forza Horizon 5 was a standout game at E3 2021, and the more Playground Games reveals about it, the better it sounds. It should definitely be a strong addition to the Xbox Game Pass lineup when it launches later this year.
Forza Horizon 5 launches November 9 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
